Double Commander is an open source multi-platform file manager. The application supports two panels and has a lot to do with Total Commander. In particular, the program has provided compatibility with extensions to its more popular counterpart. This feature greatly expands the already decent functional Double Commander. Additional Information: The aim of this project is to create a file manager similar to Total Commander on functionality and compatible with its plug-ins. By the interesting features of the program include support tabs and most known character sets, built-in text editor with syntax highlighting, file archiver, FTP-client, function permanent log file operations in the background, fully customizable toolbar and more. Once the file manager is an advanced file search system, has low system requirements and, more importantly, it distributed free of charge. Free analog are GNOME Commander and Sunflower (for the GNOME desktop), and Krusader (for KDE). It is a proprietary analog of Total Commander for Microsoft Windows.
